6 Daily Routine Tips with Family for Inspiring Acts of Caring

(Last Updated On: June 15, 2022)

What is the daily routine with family for encouraging everyday acts of caring? Our lives are defined by our everyday routines. After all, we are defined by what we do on a daily basis. According to a new study, family rituals help children’s social and emotional development, which are the foundations for strong “empathy muscles.” Researchers have discovered that children in families that sing, tell tales, read, play, and eat supper together had much better social-emotional health than children in homes that do not.

If routines foster empathy, then consciously generous habits prepare children for a lifetime of giving. Doing Good TogetherTM, a nationwide charity that empowers families to raise compassionate children with effective daily routines with the family has developed a list of suggestions for incorporating more compassion into your family’s routines.

While participating in community service initiatives may be extremely gratifying, everyday acts of kindness convey a powerful message to our children. Compassion is important. Our children will be affected by these behaviors for the rest of their life. They enable our children to grow into intelligent, involved citizens, and they have a long-term influence on our communities.

Remember that building new habits is easier when your new activity is snuggled close to a trustworthy trigger. We’ve put up a list of warm-hearted family rituals, combining our favorite behaviors with the cues that have proven to be most effective for the families we’ve worked with over the years.

Don’t be intimidated by the lengthy list. You’re not supposed to take on all of them at once. Choose a pair that is a good fit for your family. Follow the daily routine with family and see where they take you.
